
Ad Hoc Climate Change Policy Committee
The CalChamber Ad Hoc Climate Change Policy Committee is made up of board members representing high-energy users or those that have a keen interest in the implementation of AB 32 and its impact on California businesses. The committee meets quarterly to discuss the following:
· Events at the Air Resources Board and the Legislature involving climate change
· Risk management and corporate strategies to help lessen the financial burden of climate change mitigation efforts
· National and global efforts that could help California businesses grow and promote their technologies/services elsewhere.
This CalChamber AB 32 Technical Taskforce is comprised of individuals with a technical expertise in the operations side of business. These technical contacts have been referred by board members involved in the Ad Hoc Committee as well as those that have been singled out as key contacts that can help our advocacy staff in analyzing the regulations developed by the ARB. This is the day in and day our committee the CalChamber policy staff has contact with. The taskforce is involved in:
· Guiding comments on regulations
· National and global efforts that could help California businesses grow and promote their technologies/services
